Ingredients
  

  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 Tsp granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbsp tablespoons fresh lime juice about 2 limes
  • 2 Oz white rum
  • 1 Cup crushed ice
  • Club soda to top off

Instructions
 

  • In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the mint leaves and sugar.
  • Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently muddle the mint leaves and sugar together, releasing the oils and flavors from the mint.
  • Add the lime juice and continue to muddle briefly to combine.
  • Fill the glass or shaker with crushed ice.
  • Pour in the white rum over the ice.
  • Stir or shake the mixture until well combined and chilled.
  • Fill a highball glass with additional crushed ice.
  • Strain the mojito mixture into the glass, using a cocktail strainer or the shaker’s built-in strainer.
  • Top off the glass with club soda.
  • Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a lime wheel if desired.
  • Give it a gentle stir and serve immediately.
