- 2 Lbs of spare ribs
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp rice wine or dry sherry
- 2 cloves of garlic minced
- 1 Tsp grated ginger
- ½ Tsp five-spice powder
- ½ Tsp black pepper
- ¼ Tsp salt
- 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, oyster sauce, rice wine, garlic, ginger, five-spice powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to make the marinade.
- Cut the spare ribs into individual pieces or small racks for easy handling.
- Place the spare ribs in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Massage the marinade into the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated spare ribs on the rack, reserving the marinade for later.
