  • 2 apples peeled, chopped and cored
  • 1 Orange zested and juiced
  • 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 1.75 oz package fruit pectin (powdered or liquid, based on availability)

  • Wash the oranges thoroughly. Zest the oranges, then peel them, removing as much white pith as possible. Chop the orange flesh into small pieces, discarding any seeds, and set aside.
  • In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan or Dutch oven, combine the chopped oranges, mixed berries, apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and nutmeg. Stir well.
  • Place the pot over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until the mixture begins to bubble. Lower the heat to medium and simmer for about 10–15 minutes, or until the cranberries begin to pop, and the mixture thickens slightly.
