Ingredients

Crust:

  • 1 1/2 Cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 Cup melted butter
  • 3 Tbsp sugar

Filling:

  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 3 8 Oz packages cream cheese
  • 3 whole eggs
  • 1/2 Cup melted butter
  • 1/2 Tsp orange extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Combine the crust ingredients (graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar) and press the mixture into an 8-inch springform pan.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the melted butter and orange extract.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared springform pan. Place the springform pan inside another pan to catch any butter that may leak during baking. You can use tin foil to wrap the bottom of the pan.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until the top is golden. The mixture will still be slightly wobbly but will set as it cools.
  • Allow the cheesecake to cool, then refrigerate it for 24 hours before serving.
  • This recipe freezes well. If you choose to freeze it, remember to thaw it in the refrigerator overnight. Note that there may be variations in cream cheese brands in different countries. We recommend using Philadelphia cream cheese.
